Emnet vil gi studenten forståelse for idrettsmedisinske problemstillinger rettet mot forebygging, behandling og rehabilitering.
Læringsutbytte
Studentene skal:
- Forstå sammenhengen mellom funksjonskrav ved ulike aktivitetsformer og individets forutsetninger, som alder, kjønn og treningstilstand.
- Ha grunnleggende kjennskap til patofysiologi og patologi ved aktivitetsrelaterte skader på ulike vev; muskel, sener, ligamenter, kar, brusk, skjelett og nervesystem.
- Ha inngående kunnskap om årsaker til skader (risikofaktorer og skademekanismer) ved ulike former for idrettsaktivitet.
- Ha inngående kunnskap om vevsrespons ved ulike former for trening.
- Kunne gjøre rede for teorigrunnlag og forskning som ligger til grunn for valg av treningsmetoder, øvelser og dosering innen forebygging, behandling og rehabilitering av aktivitetsrelaterte skader.
- Kritisk kunne vurdere og presentere resultater fra sentrale epidemiologiske og eksperimentelle studier på feltet idrettsfysioterapi.
Læringsformer og aktiviteter
Undervisningen vil skje gjennom ordinære forelesninger og arbeid i grupper. Det legges opp til to ukentlige plenumssamlinger, dels med ordinære forelesninger og dels med rapportering fra gruppearbeid. Studentene vil mellom samlingene arbeide med sentrale fagemner i grupper på 3-4 studenter.
Arbeidskrav
For å gå opp til eksamen kreves godkjent oppmøte og aktiv deltakelse på seminaret herunder fremleggelse av individuelle oppgaver/gruppeoppgaver som vil bli vurdert til godkjent/ikke godkjent.
- Antall fremleggelser vil bli spesifisert ved emnestart.
Vurdering/eksamen
Studentene skal ved slutten av seminaret skrive en individuell oppgave som en 14-dagers hjemmeeksamen. Det gis gradert karakter A-F.
- Oppgaven skal trekkes. Besvarelsen skal være på maksimalt 20 sider (1 ½ linjeavstand) + litteraturliste.
Vi gjør oppmerksom på at oppgaver som leveres i WISEflow vil bli kjørt gjennom plagiatkontrollprogrammet Urkund.
