Emnet fokuserer på treneres og veilederes virksomhet for å stimulere læring og ferdighetsutvikling i idrett. Læringsteorier og teoretiske perspektiver på ledelse i idrett vil danne grunnlag for å diskutere treneres/veilederes kunnskapsgrunnlag. Sentrale temaer er forholdet mellom teori og praksis, betydningen av refleksjon og håndteringen av kompleksitet. Studentene vil få et vitenskapelig grunnlag for å forstå og vurdere egen trenerpraksis, både i barneidrett, ungdomsidrett og prestasjonsidrett.

Studentene skal:

• Kunne forstå og kritisk vurdere teorier og teoretiske perspektiver relatert til ledelse, læring og ferdighetsutvikling i idrett
• Ha god kjennskap til forskningsfeltet «sports coaching», og kunne anvende denne forskningen i diskusjoner av ledelse og læring i idrett
• Ha et vitenskapelig grunnlag for å reflektere over og vurdere egen og andres trenerpraksis
• Kunne finne, kritisk vurdere og presentere sentral forskning, både for andre forskere og for praksismiljø

For å gå opp til eksamen kreves godkjent oppmøte og aktiv deltagelse på seminaret, herunder fremleggelse av oppgaver for alle studentene. Grupper på 2-3 studenter skal legge fram en forskningsartikkel til hver forelesning (10 min) som deretter diskuteres i plenum. Presentasjonen blir vurdert til godkjent/ikke-godkjent.

Individuell oppgave, en ukes hjemmeeksamen. Gradert karakter A-F.

• Oppgaven skal trekkes. Besvarelsen skal være på maksimalt 20 sider (1 ½ linjeavstand) + litteraturliste. 

Vi gjør oppmerksom på at oppgaver som leveres i WISEflow vil bli kjørt gjennom plagiatkontrollprogrammet Urkund.
